Sol Alan Saad, Capital Advisory Group | Partner
Sol is a founding partner of Axial Family Advisors and heads up its Capital Advisory Group. He has over 40 years of experience in the financial service sector, as an investment banker, international financier and venture capital specialist. He works closely with Axial clients and their family businesses and business holdings, offering a wide array of corporate advisory services, such as growth optimization, operational efficiencies, process change and restructuring plans; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures services; market expansion opportunities both domestic and international; and, access to capital, buy-out and exit strategy options.
In addition to his activities at Axial Family Advisors, Sol operates The Phillimore Group, a merchant banking firm that he established in 1992 with his partners in London, and now heads up its U.S. operations. The firm provides private equity, advisory and management services to private and public companies principally in the Technology, Health-Tech and Cybersecurity sectors. The firm is currently an advisor and investor in Xero-Day Solutions, a cybersecurity company in South Florida, as well as several technology companies in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Axial Family Advisors, Sol was for seven years the Head of the Telecom, Technology, Digital Media, Internet and Software Group of Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., a middle market U.S. investment bank. As Industry Head, Sol’s primary focus was to advise and assist high growth and middle market technology companies to realize their short-term goals and long-term objectives, with meaningful and ongoing strategic and corporate advisory services. In addition, his team of supporting corporate finance bankers and industry specialists assisted their clients with other investment banking services, including public and private capital raising, M&A services, strategic alliances, licensing arrangements, fairness opinions and in-depth business valuations.
Sol has also held senior merchant banking positions in his career, mostly in London, with Wells Fargo Bank Group and Salomon Brothers Inc./ Salomon Brothers International.
Sol enjoys giving his time and service to helping charities and not-for profit institutions. He is currently involved with Miami Country Day School a leading private educational institution in Miami for students, Pre-K to 12th grade, and serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Finance Committee; Member of the Investment, Audit, Financial Sustainability, Financial Aid Policy and Auxiliary Programs Committees.
Former Trustee and Board Member of the UK Charity, POWER International-dealing with landmine victims in areas of conflict in Southeast Asia and Africa.
Mr. Saad holds an M.B.A. (Finance), The Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. (History/ Economics), Colgate University.
Sol and his wife, Julie live in Hollywood, Florida with their three wonderful children.
