Denise Diaz–Garrastacho, CPA – Audit

Denise Garrastacho is a partner, spearheading quality control of Ocariz, Garrastacho & Hevia, CPAs. As audit partner, Denise leads a highly-skilled team of CPAs to ensure clients receive first-class financial reporting with actionable, clear insight at the time of audit. Denise has extensive experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, in addition to an expansive portfolio in the construction industry.

Denise graduated from Florida International University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, received her state accreditation as a certified public accountant in 1995, and later returned to Florida International University to earn her master’s degree in accounting. Denise is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where she serves as a member of the Peer Review Committee. She has also served on Miami-Dade’s United Way audit committee, responsible for the review of all not-for-profit agency contributions in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
